dang, if I'm really making your job that much more difficult when you have 9 comments out of tens of thousands across 12 years, do what pleases you brother. Nevermind that you're grossly mischaracterizing most of my other substantive and contextually-appropriate comments in other areas of the thread.

Are you giving me so much slack or the people who uncritically tout fascistic, totalitarian ideas like "non-violent protestors should be labeled as terrorists and stripped of their rights using wartime emergency powers"? In any polite environment with serious, considered thinkers this should be met with derision but viewpoints like that consistently go unchallenged by moderation here. This was even called out by other posters on one of your linked threads where you moderated me on literally this exact same topic.

The "Good Germans" comment isn't flamebait, it's just the most succinct way of wording such opinions for what they are. To suggest and encourage such actions and overreach and even that it was that PM's most popular political action very much suggests that they are Good Germans. And if that type of disgusting rhetoric is supposed to be treated civily here on HN, maybe HN are Good Germans too. If that's the type of place this is, I don't want to be here.

I honestly don't think that you have the proper perspective to moderate sensitive political topics. "Be Nice and Follow the Rules" doesn't work against people who color within the lines while advocating for extralegal authority to deny people access to "the Rules".

Maybe HN guidelines need a wartime emergency powers guideline...

It's true that some of your 3 dozen comments in this thread were fine, but you were still breaking the site guidelines in many places. Here are some obvious examples:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42613907

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42613574

No one who has read https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and wants to use HN as intended should be posting such things. These are not borderline cases. The fact that some of your other posts were fine doesn't make it ok, any more than helping old ladies cross the street makes it ok to rob banks. I wish it were otherwise, but moderation has to go by bad deeds, not good deeds.
