You can link the image without the "i" subdomain and it will redirect to the direct image.

eg: https://imgur.com/4clqUdj.jpg (picture of a cat)

since the traffic appear to come from the main domain to them, it does to redirect back to the html page.




Yeah, they redirect to that website which has all these issues. The back button hijacking (it doesn't work on that site in Chrome) is the most annoying one.
