It reminds me 6 months ago when also opened up my 6 years old macbook pro and saw the dirt inside. The battery was totally destroyed so I ordered a kit at ifixit and replaced it myself.

Now the macbook feels like new and the battery last forever. I hope we still have the option to repair our devices in 5 years.
