I wondered the same. A good work / life balance and boundaries for work can really offset a less than ideal workplace. Work seems to really take a toll on OP, makes me wonder about how those boundaries are working.
There are studies on PubMed. Most are looking specifically at the medical professions, but there should be some generalized stuff in there too if you search a bit.
As long as you don't sample outside the fovea it should be ok.
TAA implies a velocity buffer, and that velocity buffer may cause you to sample outside the fovea (of a previous frame), for which you will not have enough samples to do a decent reconstruction of the image.
